Pamumuwesto In Mt. Banahaw
There are several stations in Complex 1. These stations are called puwestos. We journey the "kalbaryo" in Mt. Banahaw. We didn't follow the original pamumuwesto since there are other sections besides us. We proceed to the husgado cave then the cross, then the book of life, and the river.

This is the map of complex 1 of Mt. Banahaw. This shows the different puwestos. The first puwesto that a devotee must go to is the Lagnas river for cleansing. Then the devotee would grab a stone while his/her eyes are closed. The size of the stone would represent the size of the devotee's sin. Then they would bring the stone all the way up the Kalbaryo believing that their sins will be forgiven.

This is the "Balon ni Hacob/Jacob". The devotees believe that before you go to the river for cleansing, you should wash yourself up in the well. They believe that their sins will be evaporated once you dip yourself down and then a smoke starts to flow outside your body.

The photo above shows the Husgado Cave where you will be judged based on your sins. Each wound you get represents your sins. They believe that if you get out without any bruise or wounds, your sins from the past 7 years will be forgiven.

This is the way all through up the Kalbaryo. It took us almost 30 minutes just to reach the Kalbaryo.
